The Artist’s profile
I am a jewellery artist based in Korea. I make jewellery without strict limitations on theme, material, or technique, following what I feel drawn to at a given moment.
My work is often inspired by things I notice in everyday life: a bird resting on one leg by a riverside, a worn antique bag discovered in a museum, or insects moving through grass. I reinterpret these ordinary scenes through my own perspective and express them through jewellery.

The triggers to become an artist
I became interested in jewellery as an undergraduate, when I took a contemporary jewellery class and found it deeply engaging. For the first time while studying metal craft, I felt a sense of freedom in being able to express what I wanted without strict limits on materials, techniques, or form. I continued making contemporary jewellery after that, and naturally came to work as a jewellery artist.

Environmental Concern
In my practice, I am attentive to material use and scale. I often work in small formats and use materials carefully, valuing slow production over mass production. Whenever possible, I am drawn to materials that come from natural sources. I am interested in durability, repair, and the long life of objects, and I aim to create works that encourage care and lasting attention.
